Home Buyer Readiness Workshop covers TLC's services, program guidelines, Homeownership Pro's and Con's; and the steps to owning a home, housing opportunities and loan options. The Home Buyer Readiness Workshop is required in order to receive down payment assistance from the City of Tallahassee or Leon County's programs.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, classes are held virtually via the GoToMeeting website or mobile application. Details for joining the virtual classroom are delivered to the email address you provide when you register for the class. The training materials will be available at a later date, and no payment is required to register for the class at this time.
Classes begin promptly at 6 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Please note if you arrive 15 minutes late, you will have to register for the class again.
First, you will need an email address to register for class. Next, click on the following ClientMAX Portal link to TLC's secure service management system and add the information to create a personal profile in the ClientMAX system. Then, choose a date from the schedule and register for the class. When your registration is complete, you will receive an email from Cft@counselormax.net confirming you enrollment request has been received. If you do not see the email in your Inbox, check your Spam, Junk, and Promotional email. Upon enrollment, you will receive periodic email reminders regarding your class.
